Who we are

The bank was registered on 2nd September 1917 as 'Aikya Nanaaya Sangham' and commenced activities on the 22nd of the same month. What began as a small mutual-aid society for the farmers, fishermen and traders of Parappanangadi grew steadily with the community it served.

In 1937 the institution was converted into an urban bank, and in 1963 it was re-registered as a service bank, beginning its present phase of functioning in April 1964. Successive upgrades followed — Class III in 1970, Class II in 1979, Class I in 1985, Class I Special Grade in 1998 and finally Class I Super Grade in 2014.

Today the bank operates a fully air-conditioned head office along with branches at Chettippadi, Mundiyan Kavu, Palathingal and Chiramangalam, plus an Evening Branch and a Holiday Branch so that members can bank on every day of the year. Core banking, SMS alerts, RTGS, NEFT, DD and international money transfer facilities are all available across our counters.

Beyond banking, PCSB runs a Neethi medical store and medical laboratory, funds treatment for cancer and dialysis patients, and supports schools, anganwadis and hospitals across its operational area — because a co-operative exists for the people who build it.
